      This Week in Kindergarten                 Literacy - Letter Gg   We read the story,"Little Rosetta and the Talking Guitar" and learned about Rosetta Thorpe, the inventor of Rock and Roll. After listening to Rosetta's music, we drew guitars. We look forward to showing you all our alphabet work in our journals at March interviews.    Next week's letter of focus:  Numeracy- Number Sense Developing our number sense! Working on identifying numbers on dice, in numeral form and engaging with these numbers through a variety of engaging math games.     This Week in Kindergarten                      Literacy & Art     This week we talked about all the important words associated with Valentine's Day. We discussed the meaning of words such as "kindness", "caring" and "love" and celebrated ways these words live in our classroom, home and community.  Physical Education  Kindergarten friends have been enjoying our time engaging in gymnastics and climbing! We began with learning our foundational skills, rolls, jumps and safety landings. Students then put these skills to work to complete various circuits.
